Mutiny on the Bounty BBC

Dear combiners I just created a new work manually. It's a 2022 BBC audio dramatization of Mutiny on the Bounty based on the Nordhoff and Hall novel. It ended up here:

https://www.librarything.com/work/56008/editions/219488500

Which is not right, it should be a separate work. When I separated it, this was created:

https://www.librarything.com/work/28415277

But it's missing all the author info I laboriously added. And it has 0 users, even though I am the first holder.

How to move the copy at 56008/editions/219488500 into 28415277?

Or other suggestions. Thanks!

Now at https://www.librarything.com/work/28415271/editions
two editions, no members.

In future, Primary author of things like this is usually the director.

The autocombiner ignores anything after a colon, so it's better not to use : if there is any chance of a mix up.

Right now it probably needs to sit for a while.

There are two places that author info can be added so I'll speak about both to hopefully cover everything:

1) book credits - author info for your personal copy of the book, this section is under "Your book information" and I can see you have this as:
James Norman Hall (Work based on), Adrian Bean (Director), Stewart Richards (Producer), Michael Cameron (Producer), Oliver Reed (Actor), Linus Roach (Actor), Roger Daltrey (Actor), Lionel Jeffries (Actor), David Healey (Actor), Bert Coules (Dramatisation)

So all looks fine for your copy, though as >2 MarthaJeanne: says I would choose the director for the main author but that's entirely your preference because this is your copy.

2) work credits - upon the work page itself, this author info is collaborative and pulls from all editions that people have catalogued (eg. for cover artwork credit there may be different artists for the various editions, for movies a foreign language release might have voiceover dubbing actors who don't appear in the English releases).

To get 2) to appear/enact you want to be in the section of the page on https://www.librarything.com/work/28415271
about halfway down, » Add/edit other authors (10 possible)

If you go into there and hit the green ticks for the authors to confirm them as being correct, and hit the red X if the credit is wrong. You can adjust if they are applicable to "all editions" or "some editions" (likely for movie credits this wants to be "all editions", for such as cover artists for books these would be "some editions", etc).

In 2), because work-page credits are collaborative, it's definitely recommended to follow standard practices (such as having the director as the primary author for a movie), so here I would do that as >2 MarthaJeanne: suggests, even if you wish to leave your own copy with a different main author.

Hope that hasn't gone too overboard in explaining!

It's a lot better now. Before, Other authors wasn't picking up anything.

I set the Director as primary.
