Hi, Carol. I love that you do this every month. Devil House is definitely a California book, though, not New York. I think you may have the wrong touchstone for it. If you like a book with a strong sense of place, that's definitely one.

I'd also put 11/22/63 under Texas and Maine.

>2 sturlington: Thanks for the info...and for the word of "thanks". I made the corrections. I don't know why I started doing this...but I do like to see how many places we can visit in a month. I do it for all my 5 groups. This one has the most members, so it always has more visits. Sometimes it's quiet a search to find out where a book is set unless it's in the story. I should have remembered 11/22/63 was in Texas. Most of Stephen King's books take place in his home state of Maine. I remember well the actual day this actual event took place. We were dismissed early from school and the teacher told us to "Go home, stay safe, and contemplate that your President is senselessly dead." It was an event that none of us had any idea how to handle. If you haven't seen the movie, it's well worth watching and reflects well with the book.
