This isn't actually showing up for me like it used to but I got the email saying it was going on until Oct 31 for those of you that are interested. https://www.librarything.com/hunt.php?y=2021&m=10

1.Try plural rather than singular. That might tag an answer for you.
6. Do not overthink it, or be too specific. Think plural again.
7. An investigation into a famous story reveals the tale from a different viewpoint.

I'm not doing as well as usual at this quiz. There are a couple that I'm sure I know the answer to but they don't seem to be right. I'm sure no. 5 is Transylvania but LT doesn't seem to agree!
ETA Turns out the issue was a bug which has now been fixed!

>8 Sakerfalcon: No wonder that wasn't working for me either!

Got them, but I needed help on a few. I was being to0 specific in several of my searches. These hunts are always so much fun!

I only have 8, 10 and 12 left. 10 and 12 I have danced all around, 8, I doubt I would get without major help, not being a horror genre fan.

>11 MrsLee:
I had a lot of trouble getting that one.
Clues:First I had to find which state was involved. Google helped me there.
I happened to be aware that a VERY famous writer of horror stories lived in that state.
Not having read many of his books I had to Google “fictional town” with his name. That gave me a list to work through.
Further clue: It obviously has an Irish connection.

>12 pgmcc: Thanks for that! Now just 10 and 12. I may go to the hint thread tomorrow, or I may not. I'm more interested in the badge than the prizes, and I have thet. :)

#7 is still giving me trouble, 12 I don't have but I'm not looking it up, so I'm happy not solving that one.

I guessed no 7 and got it right! Clue: We did a group read of this book here in the Green Dragon a few years ago.

>17 Sakerfalcon: I was not part of that group read but saw that clue and thought, "That sounds a bit like that one book I read a while back..." Figured it was a long shot but ran a search on the title and got the pumpkin!
I did manage to get all twelve but found numbers 4 and 12 the most difficult. Those two required the hints thread.

>15 pgmcc: I thought I had typed in all the variations of that, but I tried again and went down the list of options and found it. :)
I figured out 12.was thinking it was a character, not a title, and for the longest time I had the wrong pig, then I noticed the pronoun
I figured out 12.
