Do you read tea themed books while sipping your tea?

Do any of you read tea themed books? (Fiction or non-fiction). If so, which ones?

I've read some of Laura Childs' Tea Shop Mysteries (a cozy mystery series). Some of them have some good tea tips from Drayton (Theodosia's tea master).

Are there other books/series with a tea theme out there?

I really like Patrice Greenwood's Wisteria Tearoom series, set in New Mexico. The first one is A Fatal Twist of Lemon.

I’m a tea party nerd and am always on the lookout for pretty services. So even though it was frustrating, I still recommend Laying the Elegant Table.

I brewed cocoa in a teapot this morning for my 2 and a half year old grandbaby and she pronounced it “Lovely!”. I texted her remark to my daughters and other grands. The 16 year old responded that she misses tea parties with me and hopes to join us again in the near future.

The Tea Girl of Hummingbird Lane inspired me to try pu-erh, and it's a good story on top of that.

Thanks for the information on another tea series. I put the first book on my TBR list.

I came across this book while looking through my digital shelves: "Tea with Emma" by Diane Moody--just to give another tea themed book.

I loved the Laura Childs series when it was new, but even though the tea talk was delicious, I thought the plots and dialogue were getting pretty improbable by the time we were nine or ten books in. Have they improved?

No, but tea drinking in a book or on screen will send me brewing tea nine times out of ten. The tenth time? I'm already armed with a cuppa...

>9 gmathis: Not sure. I've read some of them, but not in order--I did just write a list of them all recently and plan to go in and read the ones I haven't read yet. I suspect the mysteries will still be the same but the tea in each book is a bit different. If I find any of them that stand out, I'll try to remember to come back here and post in case you decide to give it another go.

Original boyfriend was such a hopelessly good Ken doll sort of a guy, he got boring. So she turned him into a jerk and moved him out of town. Enter boyfriend 2. After awhile, he turned in a hopelessly good Ken doll who was boring, so she killed him off. Last time I read one of these, things were looking kind of iffy for the relationship with boyfriend #3, so I fear for him . . . ;=)

Now that I think about it, I rarely drink tea while reading tea themed books, but that's probably because I have read very few (I think I own maybe three) tea themed books. I haven't read much from any of them yet.

However, I have read/listened my way through Sheridan Le Fanu's Green Tea a few times, but usually at night of when I'm in my car, so no tea either.

I guess if I had a book that featured tea, I'd read it while sipping tea, but that's only because I drink tea and read books all the time, so they're bound to coincide occasionally.

I got fed up with the Laura Childs books. Theodosia is just too perfect, too nosy, and nobody with any sense would hang out with her because she's a murder magnet :)
