Sorry about the double thread--please don't post in the other one, just flag it, and it will disappear.

Well then, let's talk about something. I recently read Nicholas Meyer's newest pastiche, The Adventure of the Peculiar Protocols. I liked it. As per usual, he finds interesting ways to mix actual events and people with his fictional story.
What others have people read recently, and liked, or disliked?

Hi, I knew Sherlockians can't be far away... :)
It's been ages since I read anything SH-related, and as it happens, the last item could have been one of Meyer's books (I have the first two).
I didn't even know he was alive and writing! Thanks for the head's-up.
In other media, I saw all of the Rathbone-Bruce movies in March, as an instant response to the lockdown.

>3 jhicks62: I really liked his The Seven-Per-Cent Solution; I must get around to reading the rest of the series!

Exploits of Sherlock Holmes by Adrian Conan Doyle and John Dickson Carr is my favorite volume of Holmes pastiche.

>4 LolaWalser: There was actually a 3rd one before the most recent one, called The Canary Trainer. It's been awhile, but I think I liked it, too!

>5 amanda4242: I am currently also reading From Holmes to Sherlock. It's a large chronological history, and I'm just up to the early 70s where he's talking about Nicholas Meyer writing his first one. Still a classic!!

You don't need to worry about threads being archived; that was never implemented as far as I know. Threads will become dormant but that has no other effect.

I recently got back into the Laurie R. King series where I had left off and read and enjoyed The Murder of Mary Russell.
