Reading 50 in 2020 -- Lou-Ann's challenge

I've been on LT over 10 years, but I haven't had a reading thread in the 50 Group challenge in a very long time. Last year I was able to finish 42 so I'm hoping to make it to 50 this year. The books I enjoyed most in 2019 were:

Becoming by Michelle Obama
The Lightkeeper's Daughters by Jean Pendziwol
The Beekeeper of Aleppo by Christy Lefteri

It's already August, and I'm nearly halfway to 50 so I'll simply begin by listing what I've read from January to July. Many people found that being isolated at home this year because of the covid pandemic increased their reading as they had lots of time available. For me it was the opposite. During the early months of the pandemic/quarantine period I simply could not focus or concentrate on anything I tried to read. It's gotten easier as we've adjusted to the new normal.

Books to read soon:

Here’s my map of countries I've visited since I started keeping track in 2009. I will continue to read my way around the globe adding new destinations every year. New places that I visited this year include: Malawi, Rwanda, Libya, Mongolia, Yemen, Laos, Jordan, Trinidad & Tobago, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Denmark, Iceland and the Czech Republic.
