I've just noticed that there appears to be no thread in the group for The Wainwright Prize.
The Wainwright Prize was named after Alfred Wainwright, the author of the famous fell walking series, the Pictorial Guides to the Lakeland Fells. Created to celebrate nature-writing and encourage exploration of the outdoors.
The shortlists for 2020 have recently been announced. I'll list those out in a separate post. However below are the previous winners and shortlists. For the longlists, please visit the Wainwright Prize website (https://wainwrightprize.com/history/).
