Looks like a slightly larger limitation than usual - 500 instead of 300; though, Jerad has done a few 500 copy editions before. Slipcased, which is nice. I don't know anything about the stories or the author.

I did. Jerad will do a beautiful job. Angel's Inferno has not been published before so it is sort of a "pig in a poke" but Falling Angel is excellent so maybe not so much.

I agree, he does a superb job, and I too trust Jerad.
Ordered, but US$90 postage to Australia hurts!!

Ordered. Looking forward to this one. I closed my mind to the, often dealbreaking, delivery charge to the UK ($90).

International shipping is murder via CP, yes, but worth it nonetheless. :)
Apologies to Jerad for what I am about to say, but the typography and typeface choice are extremely poorly chosen and ruin the design of the book. The chapter headings look randomly selected, too, and do not look uniform at all.
However, the dust jackets are A+++. Love the art on them.

>7 RATBAG.:
I personally find the typeface and headings on sample photos appealing. The typeface also looks very readable to me.
Not having read the book, I do not know how appropriate the design is for the contents of the novels; however, the layout seems great to me.
I am actually not that enthusiastic about the dust jacket art, so I guess the new edition has different features that appeal to wide range of tastes and interests.

Ordered. I actually like the typesetting, at least from the sample photos. I'm a bit put off by the gimmicks like the facsimile signature, and the signatures of "various demons and devils". Does anyone really feel like a facsimile signature adds anything to the book? If anything that bit seems tacky to me. But the rest looks good and for $225 it seems like a good deal.

>9 filox: I also don't understand facsimile signatures, although it is perhaps a nice gesture in the cases where the author was lined up to sign but passed away during the production period. That was probably the case for Kate Wilhelm (died 2018) and maybe the case here too (Hjortsberg passed in 2017).

I ordered mine Saturday. Looking forward to reading the sequel, and also seeing what two books will replace these in the 'Forthcoming' section on the website.
>9 filox: I'm indifferent to signatures in general. They're a nice addition, but if means a reduction in cost for a book that's otherwise the same I'll gladly take an unsigned one.
CP has used facsimiles a few times before- Lovecraft in the signature section of A Mountain Walked, Clark Ashton Smith in The Averoigne Chronicles, and some Masters of the Weird Tale volumes all come to mind. There was also Stand on Zanzibar, which got its signature page from a previous project that never materialized beyond Brunner's couple hundred signatures. I guess Jerad feels it adds to their archival quality, although I'm not sure what the criteria is for determining what books get 'signed'.

Got my copy, looks great. Really love the slipcase. Very sturdy and great design.

I am still waiting for mine. Hopefully, soon...

I like the red medallions above each chapter number and the red leading initials. Great slipcase. Nice dust jackets, I don't think I've ever seen a dust jacket that was printed on both sides. The story is engrossing so far. I'm glad I went for it.

Agreed. I am about 30% through the first book and its very good so far.

Mine won't be in till Monday. It looks fantastic!

I am still waiting for my copy to arrive. Anybody here is also still waiting or I am the only one?

>7 RATBAG.: yes the international shipping is steep, but I once had an issue with a volume shipped to Canada (Kiernan/Houses) and return was no issue; the press covered the return shipping fee, as I recall, as well. So no complaints on the service front.
