Dear Group,

I once remember when this group was as active as a kitten...

Well, may I recommend this film to everyone in this group.

I had wanted to get the DVD (1 year?) but fortunately got to watch it in a theatre in Melbourne instead.
I understand the DVD will be released in Nov 17.

I loved it. One pensioner on leaving the theatre said "...that's the first films in over a year with no explosions or gun shots..."
I did point out to him the "extreme violence" attempted on Male Cats by FEMALES :-}

The film isn't mauldin nor cute. Think of a travelogue of Istanbul, with observations of Human nature and a good observation of the
various personalities of CATS.

I want to see it. More than likely it played somewhere around here (I live in New York City, after all), but it's just the sort of movie that's only easy to find with exceptional timing and more persistence than I can muster among all my other distractions.

Thanks for the reminder about this movie. I forgot about it. Last year I went to Istanbul and it was amazing to see all the cats relaxing and hanging out where you'd never see them here: on motorcycles, cars, in shopping centers, in mosques. The locals really love the cats.

My family went to see this movie a few months ago, it was terrific. It also has a really cool new-agey soundtrack. I would watch it over and over if I could. Waiting for that DVD.

Just finished rewatching the Kedi (Cats) After about 5/6 months.

Is it my memory or was the sequence, emphasis etc. different to how I remember it from the Cinema version.

Great but not quite how I remembered it. Probably my memory!

The DVD also had 30 minutes of extras. These alone were worth getting the DVD. If anyone gets the BluRay please let me
know of any "different" extras.

My library system has this film in both blu-ray and DVD.

https://lincc.ent.sirsi.net/client/en_US/gl/search/results?qu=kedi&te=

The blu-ray bib description says:

Special features: feature-length audio commentary with director Ceyda Torun, cinematographer/producer, Charlie Wuppermann and editor Mostoebe; making of Kedi; behind the scenes footage and interviews with the filmmakers; deleted, extended and outtake scenes; theatrical trailer.

Hi Guido, I saw it twice in a theatre in 2017 and really enjoyed it. On a side note, I see you are in Melbourne. I was just there two weeks ago for the first time. Loved it! Have you been to the cat cafe there?
