Thought I'd share this link here. It lists all 15 Canada Reads winners (but only the winners):

(Actually, it's one of the check box things that you can check off how many you've read. I've read 9/15, but there is only 1 I have no interest in at all. The other 5 are either on my tbr or are possibilities.)

I've read 14 out of 15 but that's not too surprising because if I haven't read the winner before it is picked then I try to read it soon after. Not sure how I missed Something Fierce.

I've read 4: King Leary, The Best Laid Plans, The Last Crossing, and The Orenda.

Of the rest, Next Episode is on my to-read list, and Rockbound is a possibility if I think to borrow it from my mum.

Thought I'd add that, of the 9 I've read, my favourites were: Lullabies for Little Criminals, The Best Laid Plans and The Book of Negroes.

The only one I'm not interested in is Next Episode.

>2 gypsysmom: It usually takes me quite a while to read them. I borrow from the library and don't like long holds lists. I'd rather have a shorter (or no) holds list, so I have more "control" about when I'll get the book to read it.

I've read them all! Nikolski was a real surprise...I really liked it.

I've read 7/15, and some of them are amongst my favourite books:

Lullabies for Little Criminals -- this is a book that I've given as a gift or recommended many times and most people love. My 16 yr old daughter finished it today and raved about it.

Also adored A Complicated Kindness and February.

Enjoyed reading Nikolski and The Best Laid Plans.

Found Ru readable, meaningful, but overall "blah," and hated The Orenda, although I recognize that it's well written and meaningful, and I actually remember it in fairly good detail. But I had serous problems with it that make me shudder.

Have 3 of the others in my TBR pile.

Lullabies for little criminals is also one of my favourites.

Hmm, I have read 8 of 15 (well, I guess 9 of 16 now). Better than I thought!
