This looks like a rather dormant group. See if it's worth starting up again and see who is reading what.

I started the year out by re-reading Renegade by Cheyne Curry. Part western, part time-travel, and always romance. Dirty cop Trace Sheridan is alive and well in the 21st century but she won't be for long if the crime family she worked for gets hold of her. Desperate times call for desperate measures, like trying out an untested time machine. What has she got to lose? She wakes up in 1879, facing the unwavering shotgun of Rachel Young, who has been battling the family Cranes who own the town and the local sheriff. A clean slate, a chance for redemption, an opportunity for romance, Trace has the opportunity to do her life over.

Well developed characters, an engaging plot, an unfolding romance, Curry has provided an answer to the eternal question: if you have your life to live over, what would you do?

I'd like to see if I can read 60 books this year -- I got side-tracked last November but I'm game to try it again. Anyone join me?

I've read 18 books so far this year. Six of them have been LesFic. Camp Rewind, Taste, Blinded, A Quiet Death, Raging at the Stars, and Drawn Together.

I don't think that I've read Renegade, but it definitely sounds interesting.

I believe that my goal for this year is somewhere around 200. I did about that last year. 2015 was my best ever when I read more than 400 books, but, I was also underemployed and very part-time. And the past two years I've been full time employed. What a difference a full time job makes. Go home and read definitely turns into go home and sleep (or perhaps stare mindlessly at the boob tube. :))

We'll see what I read % wise this year, but, it usually winds up being about 70% Graphic Novels/TPBs, 20% LesFic!!, and the rest a combo of other genres, etc. What can I say, I like what I like even though it's a weird-o combination. :).

Good luck with your goal melsbks. And I'm game to post my LGBT+ reading on this thread (or a separate one in the group or whatever) if others are!
