All right apparently I don't know how to post a link on here.

A short History of Everything is read and reviewed

readable, and probably useful if you're not previously familiar with the topics but hardly enlightening.

I think I'm supposed to be selecting for fyrefly - how about The Paradise War (Song of Albion, Book 1 in my mind one of Lawhead's best works. But I'm always curious as to how others view this.

The Golden Compass is read and reviewed.

OK readingfox, I couldn't pass up this title. I'd like to read your review of How To Fossilize Your Hamster

Hmm... I'd like to know what you think of Lirael. I read the first book of the series awhile ago, but never got around to finishing the rest of the series.

For me, I don't have all that many books cataloged yet, but feel free to choose any fictional work, read or unread.

Dez 1, 2007, 2:47 am

bookaddict68: ok, this might sound totally facetious, but I'd like you to review Green Eggs and Ham. You have so few books up and we have seemingly different tastes and the fact that you had a Dr. Seuss caught my eye...

As for myself, Tex and Molly in the Afterlife has been read and reviewed. I'm up for anything I haven't already reviewed for my next pick.

I finished A Natural History of Sex this afternoon, after substantial holiday-related delay. The review is here. I was probably a little harsher on it than I might have been if it weren't my area of specialization, but it just didn't hold up to comparison with other similar books I've read.

ireed110 - How about As Nature Made Him for you? Maybe it's because I just reviewed a book about sex and mating, but looking at it from a cultural as well as a biological perspective sounds interesting to me at the moment. :)

Unfortunatly I wasn't able to finish it despite my best efforts. I hope I was able to effectively explain my reasons in my review which surprisingly is incredibly long considering I only read 150 pages of the book. I should have known I was in trouble when the author described the heroine as smelling like sex which she further described as being (excuse the language) warm and pissy (as in urine). No joke really.

So Carmellunacy, how about you read and review Love:A Users Guide: A novel of Romance with Attitude by Clare Naylor. It looks like it would be light and fun.

Thanks.

Heisenberg Probably Slept Here is read and reviewed. I studied physics in college, so none of the science was revelatory but I think they did a good job of laying it out. The biographic aspect was well done--I never realized how big a role WWII played in the lives of major physicists.

ejd - I have to admit I was conflicted. It looks like you have some interesting books, but I felt guilty asking you to review something really heavy. I tried to split the difference with In the Beginning: A New Interpretation of Genesis.

carlym, I'm having trouble choosing, you have such an interesting range of books to look at :-) I think I'm going to ask you to review Tibet, Tibet though, it looks really interesting.

Looks like I get to pick for kaelirenee. You have so many interesting-looking books! I think I'm going to give you The Venetian's Wife by Nick Bantock.

I'd like something tagged "tbr," please. (If you see something tagged both "tbr" and "unread," I've never read it. If it's just "tbr," I haven't read it in a long time, and I'm willing to reread.)

Hello all! I'm new to the game but I have a massively long list of books to read and I can't choose. I'm trying to complete the 1001 Books you Must Read Before You Die list so choosing anything marked 1001 Books would be helpful. Other than that I'm pretty much willing to re-read anything in my library.

As for pscindy, I'd like to see what you think of The Invisible Man by HG Wells. It's something I intend to read soon so I'd like a few other opinions.

Thanks...looking forward to my book!

Well, I think I'm finally going to jump in now that I've got my head above water with grading!

Xicanti, I know it's marked as reference, but even if you just read portions and browse through, I'd really love to know what you think of The Unicorn by Nancy Hathaway, so I'm hoping you won't mind reviewing that one. It's been on my TBR pile for a long time now, and I think I've never gotten around to it because the last book on myths and legends I read just wasn't all that entertaining. I need to read this one though--people know me so well, I've gotten four copies for birthday/Christmas over the last few years which I've regifted or taken to the local used book shop!

As for me, my library is fairly self-explanatory. If it's got stars marked, it's got a review, and I've read it. Most of the books I've read and own are still in storage, so I'd say 4/5ths of my library hasn't been read or reviewed yet. My only request: please don't pick one of the Norton Anthologies (or any of the other thousand page anthologies I've collected for lit. classes)! They'll get read eventually, but in bits and in pieces...

117Jenson_AKA_DL
Mar 14, 2008, 12:05 pm

Whitewavedarling - I saw that you have the novelization of The Adventures of the Librarian and remember having watched the movie with Noah Wylie. I also remember thinking at the time there seemed to be a bit missing and that reading the novelization would be fun. So, that would be my suggestion.

For myself, it has been a very long while since I've posted here. I've been feeling pretty sheepish because I just couldn't finish the last book assigned to me which was Love in the Time of Cholera. However, with a bit of encouragement, I've decided to post a review on what I was able to read and hope that it is still okay to ask for another book? My tbr pile is filled with books which are very different than what I usually read so I hope no one is offended if I don't like a book that is chosen for me.

All my unread books are tagged "tbr" in my library. Thanks :-)

For me, preferably a book that hasn't got a "date read" entry, but it can be anything I haven't reviewed, which given I've managed the grand total of two reviews makes for a fair selection.

145fyrefly98
Editado: Abr 24, 2008, 9:39 pm

The Darwin Conspiracy is finished, the review is here. Short version: Historically accurate, and a fun read.

Inigo, how about Beasts by John Crowley for you? I've heard a lot about Little, Big, but Beasts doesn't have any reviews.

It's even more of a limited selection now, but the books I have with me at the moment can be found here. If whoever's picking for me would prefer to pick from my (much) longer TBR list, that would be fine, although I won't be able to get to it for another two weeks or so.

Abr 24, 2008, 10:48 pm

I finished and reviewed George Burns' Wisdom of the 90s. It was a fun visit with one of the greatest comedic legends, and I had more than a couple chuckles.

Ooh-Ooh-OOH! fyrefly98, I've been wanting to get The Zookeeper's Wife for a while now... It's on my BM wishlist. I'd love to see what you think of it. :-D

This is my first post to this group. I am excited to see what is assigned to me!

thekoolaidmom: Nice to see you here, too. It's good to already 'know' people when you join a new group! To continue the line of books titled "The (somebody interesting)'s (family member)" I'd like to know what you think of The Gun Runner's Daughter by Neil Gordon.

Welcome, lilyfyrestorm. How about Natasha: The Biography of Natalie Wood?

I have read The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole, Aged 13 3/4, and my review is here.

Please choose something tagged "tbr."

149Thalia
Abr 27, 2008, 6:49 am

I finally managed to finish The Power of Darnkness. Tales of Terror. Sorry, it took me so long, but school got in the way... again. Anyway, here's my review.

carlym, why don't you read and review Hunting Unicorns by Bella Pollen? The title sounds intriguing.

Please pick something with a tbr tag. And if it's a long and/or complicated book, it will probably take a while until I finish it... (school again)

150Caramellunacy
Abr 27, 2008, 12:25 pm

Thalia, why don't you read Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe? It's one of my favorites - both funny and truly touching. I'd love to hear what you think about it.

My review of Tiger Eye is here. Not exactly my cup of tea, but it was nice to try something new, and it was certainly a fun ride.

Whoever chooses next, anything not reviewed at My DC tag is fair game, though I'd prefer something fluffy since it's exam time. Thanks!

151dulcibelle
Abr 27, 2008, 4:22 pm

I finished The Beautiful Cigar Girl and quite enjoyed it. My review is here: http://www.librarything.com/work/1364135/reviews/11704739 .

Caramellunacy - why don't you read The Illyrian Adventure. That one sounds like fun, and should be fluffy enough to read around exams.

Anyone choosing for me, anything tagged TBR is fine. However, if it has "office" in the comments, it will be a little easier for me to find. I recently moved, and much of Mount TBR is still in boxes.

152lilisin
Abr 27, 2008, 5:57 pm

Dulcibelle,

We don't really have similar tastes but I did notice that you have Zorro by Isabel Allende which I read last year and you have "office" in the comments so it's perfect.

Hope you enjoy!

My semester is over in a week and a half so I want to look forward to a nice read finally! :)
Please choose from my "Colorado" tag and don't choose one of my Spanish books 'cause those are quite long and I'd like to read them on my own time. Oh, and I'm reading "La reine du sud" right now so don't choose that one either.

Thanks!
Sorry for all the specifications.

153Jenson_AKA_DL
Abr 27, 2008, 9:05 pm

I've finished and reviewed Eragon which I enjoyed quite a bit.

lilisin - Quite an impressive library! One of the few that I recognized is a story I've always been partial to, even though I really liked the Disney ending better :-) How about Notre-Dame of Paris (The Hunchback of Notre-Dame). Hope that works for you!

If you're picking for me, please pick from my "tbr" tagged books. Thanks!

154InigoMontoya
Abr 28, 2008, 8:28 am

My review for Beasts is up. Thank you, fyrefly98 for assigning it to me. I did enjoy it very much.

Jensen, a nice review of Eragon. As you have turned you mind to things French in your assignment to lilisin, how about a review of Voltaire's "Candide" (which, for some reason, won't touchstone)?

To whomever is choosing my next book, it can be anything except the three I've already reviewed, although preferably fiction (I'm still reading Peter Ackroyd's London: The Biography as my other book-on-the-go-at-the-mo) and one that doesn't have a "date read" entry.

155jesslyncummings
Editado: Abr 28, 2008, 10:24 am

Inigo, great name! But I'm disappointed you don't own The Princess Bride.

Anyway, how about Don Quixote? (It does have a 'date read' entry but it was in 1989, so maybe you're up for a reread. If not, Dracula.)

I'm up for reading anything in my library that isn't already reviewed, though I prefer fiction.

edited to close my parentheses.

156fyrefly98
Abr 28, 2008, 10:39 am

My review for The Zookeeper's Wife is up here. It wasn't bad, but it didn't really convince me that its existence was justified, if that makes sense.

jesslyn - It's not fiction, but Unfortunate English: The Gloomy Truth Behind the Words You Use has too good of a title to pass over... plus, I always like etymology, so I'm interested to hear what you think about this one.

The selection of unread books keeps dwindling (although I'm going to the used book store this afternoon), but the books I have with me at the moment can be found here. If whoever's picking for me would prefer to pick from my regular TBR list, that would be totally fine, although I won't be able to get to it for another two weeks or so.

157wandering_star
Abr 29, 2008, 7:22 pm

I am very embarrased to admit that I can't find my copy of Butter Chicken in Ludhiana - I think it might be in the box in the loft that is buried under a whole pile of other boxes, but until I do my summer clear-out I'm not going to be able to get close enough to find out! However, I have instead posted a review of the same author's The Romantics. I hope that will do - and when I find Butter Chicken I'll do a bonus review.

Fyrefly, would you mind if I picked Sexual Selections from your regular TBR list? It looks fascinating!

Whoever's picking for me, please pick a book tagged GRTB. I'll do my best to find it this time!

158InigoMontoya
Abr 29, 2008, 11:24 pm

#155 jesslyn, it is to my shame that I've never read The Princess Bride. I have the movie script and a few copies of the film which are fairly worn though. I have cheated a bit and scanned Don Quixote again in order to write the review. As it is a bit of a cheat, and thus not true to the honour of the knight, I'll do you another one for free.

wandering star, given his recent nomination for the glitter and gold with another book, maybe you can tell us how good or otherwise Chabron is by reviewing Mysteries of Pittsburgh: A Novel (P.S.).

Despite the lack of power edit, I have gone through and marked up my TBR books to make life easier for everybody, although I don't mind re-reading/refreshing and writing reviews for books I've already read.

160reading_fox
Abr 30, 2008, 6:43 am

Empress is reviewed another great character driven work of high fantasy by Karen. It's light and easy reading, somewhat in the style of Feist.

Samantha - as a change from all those detective stories, why don't you try pompei by Lundgren.

161Ryes
Maio 1, 2008, 6:11 am

Details of the Hunt has been reviewed here. I had fun reading it. I hope the review helps you decide, Jenson :)

Reading fox, how about Voice of the Gods by Trudi Canavan?

To anyone choosing for me, any book is fine, except the ones labeled abandoned or wishlist.

162Jenson_AKA_DL
Maio 3, 2008, 9:38 am

I've finished and reviewed Candide, or, Optimism. A very interesting book!

Ryes - I enjoyed your review of Details of the Hunt, thanks :-) I would definitely get it if the cost wasn't so prohibitive *sigh* How about reviewing Heros & Ghosts next? (sorry, it doesn't seem to want to touchstone).

For whoever is choosing for me, please choose from those tagged "tbr".

163whitewavedarling
Maio 4, 2008, 10:44 am

I've finished and reviewed The Librarian: Quest for the Spear by Christopher Tracy. It was a fast read when I had time for it, though I enjoyed the movie more. I got slowed down by final exams and grading papers, but I should get through the next book someone chooses much more quickly now that the semester is done. Anything unreviewed is fine, though please avoid the thousand page lit. anthologies (Nortons and etc.)! They'll get reviewed eventually, but I can't face reading one in one stretch...

Jenson_AKA_DL: How about The Calling by Jennifer Ashley? I saw it on your TBR pile, and it's one that I've thought about picking up quite a few times, so I'd love to know your thougts on it...

164Thalia
Maio 4, 2008, 11:44 am

I finished Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe. Here's my review.

whitewavedarling, why don't you read and review Norwegian Wood by Haruki Murakami?

Please pick something with a tbr tag. And if it's a long and/or complicated book, it will probably take a while until I finish it...

165llamagirl
Maio 4, 2008, 3:14 pm

I just posted my review for You Only Live Twice. It may have redeemed the adventure genre for me!

Thalia, I always giggle a bit when I see an Ethan Hawke book on the store shelves. Nothing personal to Mr. Hawke, but I'd have a problem taking any Gen-X hunk's foray into the literary world seriously. I'd like to see if he has the chops to back him up but as I don't really want to read the book to find out I'm going to leave the task to you. Please review Ash Wednesday.

Anything in my library without a review is free range for my next pick. Thanks!!

166kaelirenee

I've finished up The Importance of being lazy and posted my review!

Llama, would you please review If you can't live without me, why aren't you dead yet?!-though there were several titles I wanted to pick for you.

Anything in my library tagged to be read is great (but I'll get to it MUCH faster if it's also tagged Own or @West...ones with Want or IPL will take longer). Thanks!

My review for The Gun Runner's Daughter.

klarusu, will you read A River Runs Through It, and other stories? (you have a great list of books, by the way - I had a hard time picking!)

For whoever picks for me, please pick from my tag TBRV

Thanks!

Hi, I'm new here. Since I joined LT, I've been trying to force myself to begin writing reviews for the books I've read - with mixed success. I thought joining this group might be a fun way to keep up the effort - especially since I see that InigoMontoya will be keeping track!

tjsjohanna, you've got lots of interesting-looking books on your TBRV list - I'm having a hard time choosing. Why don't you review The Ghostway by Tony Hillerman. I've always been interested in his books, but never have read any - I'm looking forward to your comments and recommendations.

My library isn't so neatly organized (yet, anyway). I read mostly from the library, so anything tagged "on hold" is something I don't have access to yet. Everything else is fair game, and the "currently reading" and "tbr" tags are books I have here.

You are very welcome, sjmccreary. I'm sorry that your debut has coincided with some silliness.

I'm still reading Room for a Single Lady, albeit I'm procrastinating because I'm not loving it, but hopefully the next poster will be along soon to assign you a book from your library. I just didn't want you to think we were of the Basil Fawlty-type in our hospitality to new arrivals.

Maio 12, 2008, 1:03 pm

Thanks for the welcome - I was surprised that someone posted so soon as I was expecting to have to wait a day or two for an assignment. I was even more surprised to open the thread back up and see just what my "assignment" was! I'm glad to know it's not some bizarre initiation! :-)

Maio 13, 2008, 1:30 am

Well, that was an interesting welcome aboard note for sjmccreary, wasn't it? I'm glad to see you're not taking it as an indication of how the people in this group operate in general. For the most part, there's much less name calling.

Would you read the willoughbys by Lois Lowry? I've only read The Giver and I'd be interested in what her other writing is like.

I've just posted a review of If You Can't Live Without Me, Why Aren't You Dead Yet?!. That was an easy one.

Can't wait for my next pick. Thanks in advance to whoever chooses.

I've read and reviewed Immortals: The Calling.

Llamagirl - I've always been interested in tales of demons and angels, but haven't read about them in a context outside of paranormal romances. So, I'm curious to see what you think of The Revolt of Angels which looks very interesting. It might be one I'll have to pick up and read myself, just for a change of pace.

For the person choosing for me, I have tagged my unread books "tbr" in my catalog. Thanks!

I FINALLY finished Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett. I liked it well enough, but I didn't think is was made of diamonds and gold like some others do.

Jenson AKA DL -- how about Other Lives: The Story of Reincarnation for you? There are no reviews and it looks interesting.

I've got lots of good books in my TBR list -- please choose for me from that. I am behind in my ER reading though so my start may be a little delayed - however I am looking forward to receiving a new assignment.

I finished The Willoughby's by Lois Lowry. Thanks for such a quick and easy book for my first time out - I'm feeling pretty confident now!

ireed110 - I wish I could browse your real-life library. I wanted to sit right down on the floor and begin pulling books off the shelf - especially all your Alaska books. But as much as I want to travel to Alaska, I like reading mysteries and thrillers and couldn't pass up this title. I'm dying to know what Flesh and Bone: a Body Farm novel by Jefferson Bass is about. ETA "no pun intended"

The only off-limits books in my library are tagged "on hold" - I haven't gotten them from the library yet. "tbr" and "currently reading" are all still here.

BTW InigoMontoya, you may post my reviews.

Whomever picks for me, you can pick any book you like, except for the ones tagged PDNC, or where the comment read-a-thon is given.

*waving to everyone*
Hi, I am new to this group, but I would love to play the game. I think that it would help me choose from my TBR list as opposed to going out to the bookstore for a new read. I am currently in the process of adding to my library listings so please be patient.

Hi Sam. How about The Archimedes Codex. I heard about this and would love to learn more. Anxiously awaiting your review/recommendation.

To the next player, you should have plenty to choose from. Just look for the TBR tag. Ones I have read are starred.

ejd0626, thank you so much for suggesting I read Breakfast at Tiffany's. I enjoyed it immensely, and am about to go watch the film for the first time! You can find my review here.

Kirconnell, welcome to the group! *waves back* I'd like you to read Eleven Minutes. It's also in my TBR pile and would like to know if I should move it up the list.

When choosing for me, anything tagged unread is fair game!

I've finally finished War and Peace! My review is here. In short, there's a reason everyone raves. It's rave-worthy.

lilyfyrestorm, I love your profile pic! Can you review The Fox by D.H. Lawrence please?

When choosing for me, please can you choose from books tagged unread, or if you'd like marginally less to wade through, there's the cryptically named smp collection.

Hello all! I've been watching this group for a long time, and I think I'm finally at a place where I can start participating in this.

LizT, I'd be curious to read what you have to say about Lord of the Flies by William Golding. I read it in high school and thought it was fascinating.

For the person who chooses for me, can you please choose from my TBR tag? That would be most helpful.

I'm really looking forward to this.

I posted my review of Windswept by Ann Macela. Fyrefly98, thanks for choosing it. My library pile is overwhelming and this would probably have gone back unread, since the cover wasn't very convincing. But I really liked it, and will be watching for others by this (new for me) author.

dbolahood, I enjoyed browsing your library. We've read lots of the same books, but since they are pre-LT, I don't have them in my library. Since you say you like romances best, I want you to review Strangers in the Night by Linda Howard. She is one of my favorite authors, but I don't think I've read this one yet.

For my next book, choose something tagged "currently reading" or "tbr".

I've read Hobbits, Elves, and Wizards. You can read my review here. I haven't read The Lord of the Rings in awhile, so it got me thinking maybe it was time to re-visit it!

sjmccreary, will you read Night Work? It sounds familiar, but I can't place it!

LibraryLover - how about R&Ring The Serpent Never Sleeps by Scott O'Dell. I've read a couple of his books in the past, although I've never heard of this one. It sounds very interesting and has not been reviewed yet.

My review for The Fox is here. I'm afraid I just feel very indifferent about it. But, it was a quick read, so I'm ready for the next.

Jenson_AKA_DL, I'd like you to read Sabriel by Garth Nix. I'd apologize about starting you on a trilogy, but I'm sure once you've read it, you won't be sorry! (I, personally, started reading this before the third book came out, and had to wait for it, quite impatiently! Fortunately, you won't have that problem!)

OK, shootingstarr - I have to go with The Big Over Easy by Jasper Fforde. It's one of my faves so let me know if you like it too.

And for those wondering if I'm new around here, I'm not. I've just been MIA because I finally *FINALLY* got around to reading and reviewing Avoid Boring People by James Watson. I put it off for a long time due to issues that I have with the author (I touched on them in my review here) but overall it wasn't an entirely terrible work. And feedback on my reviews is always appreciated. Not sure if I was too harsh or too easy on him....

But yeah, glad to be back in the game!! Whoever picks for me, anything tagged TBR is fair game. (Preferably something fun, as my last one was a doozey....) ;)

*side note thanks to Inigo for creating the Wiki page and reminding me that I had this outstanding assignment and that it's never too late to get back in the swing of things!*

Hi lilyfyrestorm! Thanks for your great pick of Eleven Minutes: A Novel. I have finished it and written my review on my profile site. I would definitely recommend that you move it up in you TBR pile. I probably wouldn't have gotten to it for a while if not for your suggestion and I would have missed a great read. Raves for this group. A great idea.

Hi elbakerone. I am in HE too so I will see you over there I hope. You are the one who got me into this group so thanks so much. I'm sorry about your last book being so tedious. When I read one like that I choose something fun and light next. So how about Hello Gorgeous! by MaryJanice Davidson. Maybe it will help on your Alphabet Challenge too. (By the way, love your library pic, sigh.)

For the next player, I have been busy adding to my library so feel free to pick from the ever mounting TBR stack. *walks away chuckling*

Kirconnell, I'd love to know what you think of Heaven Lake by John Dalton--there are two reviews up, but they're short and don't really say much beyond what I could gather from the book jacket. It's been on my TBR pile for a while, but for whatever reason I keep passing it over (maybe because it's on a top shelp above my head I'm realizing now...).

As for me, I've read and posted a review of Norwegian Wood by Haruki Murakami and I truly enjoyed it. I don't often reread books, but I feel sure I'll reread this one in the future. Simple and sweet story with absolutely beautiful writing, and memorable characters and situations. One to read, keep, and reread if you get around to it. I should say though--based on my experiences, it is wholly different from Murakami's other work. But, just as worthwhile.

For anyone picking for me, anything unreviewed is also unread and up for requests. Please do avoid the huge anthologies (like Nortons!) as those will get read eventually, but in pieces considering their weight and tiny writing. For now, I'm off to start packing for a big move I've got coming up next month...

Jun 12, 2008, 4:39 pm

Well to make up for my half-year hiatus I finished my assignment in under a week. ;) My review for Hello, Gorgeous! is here. Thanks for picking it, Kirconnell - it was a fun silly summer read. Exactly what I expected from a Davidson romance. :)

whitewave, liked your review of Norweigian Wood! Nicely written. I have so many people telling me to read Murakami that I'm going to have to listen. For your next one, how about The Last Temptation by Neil Gaiman? Not sure how hard/easy it is to review a graphic novel but Gaiman typically rocks my socks off and that's one of his that I'm unfamiliar with. Good luck with moving too, hope it's not too much of a pain or a hassle!

Whoever chooses for me, please pick from my TBR tag! Thanks! :)

Hey there I've been lurking her for a while & I just had to join in (I really need practise in writing reviews) - my 'blog' of reviews went to nothing cause I was so crap at them. This should do it for me.

elbakerone - I've been reading Tales of the Otori for a while but I've never read Heaven's Net is Wide - I'd really love it if you could tell me what you think of it and whether it's worth the reading time.

Whoever chooses for me, please pick from my tbr list as all the other books I've catalogued are packed in boxes & I've made a rule for myself that I can't open them under any circumstances until I move - supposed to be in August - looking more like next Jan/Feb now - please!! don't ask. If you wanted to be REALLY kind you could pick from ones also tagged 2008 as those are ones I specifically want to read this year, however the shelves they're on are next to one another so either list is fine.

(edited to get link to tbr working - took 3 tries but finally got it - need more coffee)

Dear belll7 (from post 234): I just joined both LibraryThing and this group. I'd like you to read John Steinbeck's OF MICE AND MEN, from your "to read" tag. I first read this book in high school, and, well, enjoyed is the wrong word for this kind of book, but I do love it. Then I discovered that it was one of the books I could choose as part of my curriculum as a 9th grade English teacher. I taught the book for about 7 years, and both I and my 9th graders loved it. I'd be really interested in your review of it. We seem to share a love of Tolkien and Austen, by the way.

As far as my own reviews go, would the person picking for me please also pick one of the TO BE READ books? I get many of my books from the public library, as I'm an impoverished school teacher, and it may not be possible for me to find one of the books in my catalogue again, though I'm game to try, if there's a book on my list you really want to see reviewed.

tjsjohanna, I think you need to read Brave New World. Or 1984. I know, that probably is against the rules, but I couldn't decide. Okay, the first.

As you might have guessed, I am new to this game. I think I have it figured out, though. In my catalog, generally anything that I have not rated I have not read.
