I am an LT member of a few years standing . I am currently trying to catalogue and list via LT a collection of books on Railways - most of the books are British ( a few African ). I have offered to assist the executor of the estate sell the books. If anyone in this group is interested please send me a pm containing your e mail and I will gladly send the list. My problem is that the person first employed to do the job did not seem to know about NB of ISBNs, photographs of the book and is minimalist on condition. books currently in big boxes in a house in Jhb . but there are 500 items plus a big box of railway magazines. The gentleman collected from childhood to his date of passing last year.

Several months later, I'm in Jo'burg for a conference, and Kathy and I were able to meet up. I was able to purchase a few of the books, mainly on African and world railways. We also took in a local book fair which included a very interesting talk on Frederick Selous. My thanks to LT for this opportunity.
