I'm thinking ahead to how I'm going to do next year's short story reading. I plan to continue with my at-least-one-story-a-day reading. I figure if I'm not tired of it by November 18, I probably won't get tired of it for a long time to come. :-)

For 2015, I had planned on only one thread topic, but I split off to one for July-Dec after the first list became unwieldy. Next year, I plan on one list per quarter.

Next year, I also plan to add a word count when I discuss each story, so that when award nomination time comes, I have that information close at hand.

Next year, I also plan to keep a thread for the stories that I definitely want to keep in mind for award nomination time. Tonight I was adding stories to SFWA's Nebula recommended reading list, and I had to keep going back to my LT catalog and my blog entries for the past several months.

Finally, I want to be a little more systematic in my reading. I'm going to try to read several publications more consistently, and sooner after they're published. It's tough, though, because at the same time I'd like to read more older stuff, especially because I came home from the World Fantasy Convention with a lot more print anthologies!
