The longlist for the 2016 prize was announced last week in Kolkata:

Aatish Taseer: The Way Things Were
Akhil Sharma: Family Life
Amit Chaudhuri: Odysseus Abroad
Anuradha Roy: Sleeping on Jupiter
K.R. Meera: Hang Woman
Minoli Salgado: A Little Dust in the Eyes
Mirza Waheed: The Book of Gold Leaves
Monica Byrne: The Girl in the Road
Neel Mukherjee: The Lives of Others
Raj Kamal Jha: She Will Build Him A City
Sandip Roy: Don’t Let Him Know

The shortlist will be announced on November 26th; I couldn't find the date of the prize ceremony, though. I've read Family Life, which won the 2015 Folio Prize, and The Lives of Others, which was shortlisted for the 2014 Booker Prize, and I bought Sleeping on Jupiter last month, as it was chosen for this year's Booker Prize longlist.

2017 submissions for this just closed on March 31. Longlist will be announced by early-August, shortlist by mid-September, and winner in November.

I imagine we'll see Arundhati Roy's new novel make it to the longlist. Any other guesses?

Has anyone seen an update on this prize since this December 2020 article?

Thanks for the heads up Darryl. I will be at work that weekend, so probably won't attend, but may drool over their lineup for the entertainment value.
