>1 DeanieG: welcome! 564 is pretty impressive (I felt bad when I realised I had 250+!). I hope you find this group helpful in bringing the number down a bit!

Hi Deanie! I have about that many ...300 on the shelves and 200 on the Kindle so we seem to be kindred spirits! Welcome to the group!

I have been in a reading slump since my Mama (member Boobalack) passed away in February. She and I shared our books and love of books all my life. As an adult living in another state, I'd go back home for a month during the summer and we'd spend hours on end sitting at her kitchen table reading, sometimes never exchanging a word, sometimes laughing or crying and sharing passages from the books we were reading. Don't know why I'm telling you this except maybe no one in my family understands.

>10 DeanieG: I am so sorry for your loss. The reading time you shared with your mom sounds wonderful. I hope the good reading times will return for you.

>10 DeanieG: What a precious memory of your Mama - there are so few of us who spend such quality time with our loved ones. Hold on tight to that memory. I am sorry for your loss, and like >11 rabbitprincess: and >12 Familyhistorian: above I hope that the joy you found together in reading returns to you.

>15 DeanieG: Well, I follow all ROOTers and I'm sure there are many others in the group that are doing the same.
