ohhh…oohhh as the year starts to wind down we seem to be losing steam even though there are some members that have completed their challenge and are continuing to help the group toward the overall goal.
So since the weather is changing, let's grab a book and cuddle up. Let's do this!
Let's see the Tickers sparkle with enormous proportions so that we dig deep and weed out those UNREAD BOOKS!

These tickers show the progress toward the group goal.

Here are the totals for September. If anybody's number needs adjustment, please let me know.
If your name is not on the list, I couldn't find your ticker or personal thread.
So, now, Ladies and Gentlemen, BOOK LOVERS, BIBLIOPHILES, BOOK HOARDERS - get out there and read those BOOKS!

Our group goal for October is 3,836.

Cheli, I realized today as I was updating my ticker that when I changed my ticker on my own thread back in July or so, I did not change it on the thread that has all of our individual tickers that you use to compile our monthly stats. I have finally completed a ROOT for October. Outlander by Diana Gabaldon. This was a reread for me but it still took me eons to read this chunkster as I was also reading others at the same time.
I have decided to go to the beginning of my 'library' on L.T. and read some of the books I had when I joined. Perhaps I can kill two birds with one stone and rid my shelves of some I should have read yonks ago!

45LibraryCin
Out 12, 2014, 6:27 pm

>44 rainpebble: I bought Outlander from audible as a daily deal. Unfortunately, I also keep having other audios come in from the library, too! That means the one I "own" has to be set aside for the library books instead. It's taking me a while to get through it! I think my last audio I had on hold at the library came in today, though, so once I'm done it, I should be able to finish Outlander after that! (I'm almost 3/4 of the way through now, but have set it aside 2 or 3 times now.)

Hello again, everyone! :) I know that I'm late with my gathering of my October totals, but I did manage to squeeze in another ROOT right at the end of the month. I also managed to read three more ROOTs this October in relation to last October, so I'm thrilled with my progress! :)

In keeping with the group theme, here are my October totals:

Ancient Oaks Pruned: stands for older books read from my TBR pile: 6
Young Saplings Pruned: stands for newer books read from my TBR pile: 6
Trees Replanted: stands for rereads from my TBR pile: 1
New Seeds Planted: stands for additions to my TBR pile: 4 (not too bad!)
Trees Transplanted: stands for books that were donated: 50
Leaves Swept Up: stands for books that were purged: 1

My personal tickers and thread are all up to date, here: https://www.librarything.com/topic/163437

I still haven't taken time to figure out my password OR to set up a new ticker, so I'll just post my numbers for October.

In October, I read 4 more:

32. A Beautiful Place to Die / Malla Nunn. 4 stars
33. Natasha and Other Stories / David Bezmozgis. 3.5 stars
34. Three Bags Full / Leonie Swann. 3 stars
35. You've Got Murder / Donna Andrews. 3.5 stars

so my total for the year is 35.

>96 Robertgreaves: I gave Three Bags Full 3 stars. It was ok. I liked the idea of it more than the execution, I think. It was still clever. And I quite liked the ending. I think it's worth the read, just for that different type of mystery.
