OCTOBER - NO SPOILERS - Old Man's War

I have Old Man's War by John Scalzi ordered from the library. No waiting list for it. I'm first in line!

I've not read anything by Scalzi. Anyone else?

I read it when it was first published. May have to pick it up again, it was a good story.

I read it not too long ago, it was my first Scalzi. I really liked it, it was good. I also read the sequel, but I was a little less interested in 3 and 4.

A good series. Hope you enjoy.

I generally find Scalzi's work very enjoyable. Agent to the Stars was a hoot. OMW and sequels were all great. Just finished his latest, Lock In, and thought it was excellent.

OMW has been optioned for a TV series. As have two other of Scalzi's books (Redshirts and Lock In)

I read this last year, but I may revisit with you all - I really enjoyed it. I'm looking forward to more Scalzi in my future.

Redshirts is the only Scalzi work I've read. I really enjoyed it, and I have Old Man's War on my Kindle, so I'll be reading this, too.

I was fortunate to see Scalzi at a signing for Lock In. It's next on my stack of books to read. He had a great story about losing a bet to Neil Gaiman that involved buttercream frosting.

I've had this on my kindle waiting for the group read! Looking forward to it.

I have this in paperback. I just need to find it! (Or maybe scour the web for a digital copy.)

Old Man's War is one of my favorite books. I've read it twice, and I have an audible copy I want to listen to soon. He reminds me of some of the greats. I see themes that Heinlen and Asimov and others first explored, but Scalzi has updated them. He's also much better at writing characters. I just finished Lock In recently and I think it might be his best yet.

I think I might join you if I can with Old Man's War. I've never read it. I'll see if I can get it from the library.

I've got it on the Kobo, but after paying for and reading his Little Fuzzy reboot I haven't been in any hurry whatsoever to read it. Luckily this was on one of the Baen CD roms so I didn't pay anything for it.

Eventually I'll get around to reading it - probably next time I'm visiting my Mum and I roll up to find her back in bed asleep at 2 o'clock in the afternoon.
