1. You can take them to your local library -- usually they will then try to sell them in the "Friends of the Library" book sale to raise money for the library.
2. Take them to Goodwill or the Salvation Army or any other thrift/charity store.
3. Call up a local retirement home and ask if they can use books.

Some hospitals may have a patient library - try calling their volunteer department.
