014. Black Market Baby by Renee Clarke - this is possibly the most annoying book I have ever read. I am not an alternative person, but I have family that is so that was only slightly annoying. What really irritated me was the lack of accountability this woman took for her actions and how it affected her daughters. Everything was someone else's fault, especially her daughters', her biological mother's, and her mother's. The whole book was "look at me, I'm a victim and everyone is mean to me". I could go on and on, but let's just say this was not my kind of book and leave it at that.

015. Notes from Ghost Town by Kate Ellison - a fun read if improbable. A 16-year old girl tries to solve the murder of her best friend and first love, allegedly commited by her mentally unstable mother.

016. The Spark by Kristine Barnett - an excellent book. Kristine details how she was able to pull her son out of his non-verbal, autistic sphere. Her son is brilliant and very definitely still autistic, but able to function without constant supervision, working on post-graduate degrees before becoming a teen-ager, and able to relate to his parents and siblings. I found this book very inspiring.

#14 really doesn't sound like my cup of tea, either!
