Hi guys - well, I just turned 60 and I guess technically I'll have to "graduate" to the 60-Something Library Thingers.
Funny, I don't feel too terribly much different than I did when I was 59 years and 364 days.
This is a great group and I think I'll hang around as an alumnus.
Anybody else close to "aging out"?

I'll hit 60 later this year, but like others, I plan to use my fake ID card to remain a member.

I just joined, and I'll turn 60 at the end of 2014. I'll still be 50-something...50-ten, then 50-eleven, then...

Visiting again after a long break. Yeah, I broke that barrier, too. Turned 39 for the 21st time!

mamzel - you remind me that when I was growing up in the late '50s early 60's in Los Angeles my father's mother, "Mom" lived with us.
She didn't like being called Grandma because she said it made her feel old and always told the three kids of the family that she was 39. This was fine with me - until the year my Dad turned 39, and I was 7. I remember asking her how she could be 39 if Daddy was 39 and she admitted that she was really 78, which shocked the heck out of me.
She passed away 3 years later at the age of 81, but I always remember Mom as 39.

10 > My mom had a club of old high school friends who met for lunches and holiday parties for decades. They used to call themselves The 29ers. Finally, they upped it to The 39ers and refused to change it again.
I think my mom and one other gal are the only ones left. Mom's going to be 91 in January.
