... just arrived in the mail today. I'm not sure if anyone's else does this but I immediately flick to the back index and scan the list for all favourites first. My eye came across a review of an old favourite, Catcher in the Rye. How nice it is to read another's take on Holden's dramas.
Looking forward to working my way through the rest of this edition.

>1 LesMiserables: Mine hasn't arrived yet. Have they announced the new Slightly Foxed Edition?

The insert is for No.22 Country Boy by Richard Hillyer
Your SF has not arrived yet? What country are you in. I'm in Australia.

Thanks.
I am in the UK so should have it by now. I will give them a call. It wouldn't be the first time my copy has gone astray in the post...

Glutted myself and finished this quarter's issue last night.
Always refreshing to have articles that enthuse and I enjoyed The Catcher in the Rye article - too many years since I originally read, so it must be time to reread and that on Patrick Leigh Fermor.
However the Michael Innes article is the one that engaged me, as I enjoy "period" crime and have overlooked him in the past.

>3 LesMiserables: Well I found out why it hadn't arrived. My subscription had expired (which I knew) but hadn't renewed because my credit card had expired! Now sorted, and SF 38 is on its way. As is Country Boy - I just can't resist those Slightly Foxed Editions...
EDITED: To add that at least this hiccup gave me the opportunity to renew my subscription using the Folio Society's partnership offer, and get a free magazine binder!

Bollocks! I've just read Immemorial Rhythm. I have resigned myself to a purchase now. Damn.

What to do though: £19 for a SF edition delivered or £8 for a used vg condition 1967 edition delivered?
