Would somebody tell me, what this means:

ISBN Duplicates: This shows all books with more than one ISBN in your catalog. The second (and third, etc.) copies entered in the system are show in yellow. In power edit, these are selected insread. Books have been sorted and grouped by ISBN. (return to full catalog | recalculate duplicates)

I have thought that ISBN duplicate means that there are more than one book with the same ISBN, but that paragraph seems to mean that system shows those books which have more than one ISBN. Can it be so? Do I read it wrong or is there something wrong with the text?

My experience is that your first interpretation is correct. (Toiminto näyttää ISBN-numerot, jotka ovat luettelossasi useammin kuin kerran.) If you enter a book several times (usually accidentally, sometimes with purpose), it warns you of the duplicate. Been there, done that. ;)

>1 Anneli:

The phrasing : "This shows all books with more than one ISBN in your catalog." might be rather fuzzy indeed. It is NOT : "This shows all books with more than one ISBN in your catalog.", but : "This shows all books with more than one (instance of the same) ISBN in your catalog."

Though sometimes one single copy of some book is being attributed plural ISBN, as with copublished works where each (co)publisher is attributing its own ISBN -- e.g. :
Boude bewoordingen : de historische fenomenologie ('metabletica') van Jan Hendrik van den Berg by Hub Zwart (Kampen : Klement ; Kapellen : Pelckmans , 2002. 336 p. : ill. ; 22 cm (pbk.))
ISBN 90-77070-26-5 == ISBN 90-289-3202-X
ISBN 90-77070-26-5 (Klement)
ISBN 90-289-3202-X (Pelckmans)
or :
ISBN 90-391-0898-6 == ISBN 90-289-3441-3
ISBN 90-391-0898-6 (Agora)
ISBN 90-289-3441-3 (Pelckmans)
etc.

This is NOT what is meant with ISBN Duplicates.

Your first thought was right. The paragraph is some fuzzy.

ISBN Duplicates are duplicates. They are recognised because the same ISBN is having several instances within your catalog.
