When I annotated each of the works last fall (adding "501 Must-Read Books" to their Awards And Honours data), I sought the most likely entry for each book; it wasn't always clear.

I'm sorry to say, I missed one. So far I have no idea which. If I find the ambition, I may visit the link above and compare it with the volume's index to track down the culprit.

The "story" of my annotation work is recorded here, in the "Book Listers UNITE!" group:

There is an LT list that allows you to rank your readings from the 501; tally what you've read and vote for your favourites!

Unfortunately I didn't create that list, so I can't weed out the duplicates or the curiosity titles that shouldn't be there at all, only note the one I catch. And it looks like they're a few books short, I've no idea what's missing.

The new Awards information system launched in LT no longer places this information in common knowledge on each book page, but the information has been retained as a Notable List: https://www.librarything.com/bookaward/501+Must-Read+Books

Scrolling to the bottom, incidentally, shows some colourful analysis. While the list is well-rounded for genre coverage, the proportion of male to female authors is abysmal; only 20% of titles in the list are by female authors.
