I've just started Danton: The Giant of the French Revolution by David Lawday. I've got four books left to read in my Paris category and need to get hopping. It's going to be a close thing this year, so that while I'm eying a few tomes, I'll have to save them for next year.
Danton vs. Robespierre is the original Team Jacob/Team Edward rivalry. You love one or the other. Never both.

Haha, love that comparison!
I'm reading Heartless by Gail Carriger, a carryover from last month. It's a quick read, though, so I hope to finish it today.

I am just about to start my last official read for the 11 in 11 challenge, Columbine for my non-fiction category.
I have also started Locomotion by Jacqueline Woodson, a children's book that has been highly recommended.

DQ, I found Columbine to be an excellent read.
I have about 200pages left for The Stand, one short story left in Think Like a Dinosaur and one CD left of Red Knife, so I should be able to write some reviews on my thread soon...

I'm reading two books at the moment: The Geography of Bliss by Eric Weiner (on my Kindle) and A Red Herring Without Mustard by Alan Bradley. I need to get Bradley's book read because I just snagged the next in the series from Early Reviewers. I'll mostly be reading from my Kindle over the coming weekend.
6christina_reads
I'm reading Tea with Mr. Rochester by Frances Towers.
8christina_reads
I'm about to attempt Lady Chatterley's Lover.
9cbl_tn
I'm reading An Impartial Witness by Charles Todd and listening to The Secret Adventures of Charlotte Bronte by Laura Joh Rowland.

Just starting Palimpsest by Catherynne Valente, and trying to keep my expectations in check.

I'm finishing up some books, including one on the Bayeux Tapestry and Spinning Straw into Gold by Joan Gould.

I've finished the exhausting and excellent The Giant of the French Revolution: Danton by David Lawday. I'm minded to stay in France with either The Waitress was New by Dominique Fabre or A Place of Greater Safety by Hilary Mantel. Maybe both.
I'm also reading The Very Thought of You by Rosie Alison

I've started Doubloon by Jay Amberg, it's a re-read for me and I'm enjoying it.
15VictoriaPL
Listening to Outlander by Diana Gabaldon. The narrator does the accents so much better than I imagined them when I've read it in the past. Bonus!
This will be my last read for the Challenge!

I'm finally done with Lady Chatterley's Lover and am starting Impossible Things by Connie Willis.

I'm filling in the last spots in my challenge. i have three books to go in my Paris category and so am reading The Waitress was New by Dominique Fabre, Death on the Eiffel Tower by Claude Izner and Lost in the City of Light by Richard de Combray.
19DeltaQueen50
I started Tallgrass by Sandra Dallas today, a story about the Japanese Internment Camps, this one set in Colarado.
21thornton37814
Tallgrass sounds like one I'd enjoy. I'll check and see if it's on my TBR list.
22christina_reads
Taking a deep breath and getting ready to start Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell by Susanna Clarke.
23cbl_tn
I finished Curses! and started on The Quilter's Homecoming. I seem to be in the mood for comfort reads.
24RidgewayGirl
I'll finish my challenge if I don't go off challenge or pick long books. So now all I want to do is to read long, long books, many of which I cannot possibly shoehorn in. Sigh. Still, it's not like the books I'm reading aren't good.
They are: Murder on the Eiffel Tower by Claude Izner, Lost in the City of Light by Richard de Combray and The Bloody Shirt: Terror After the Civil War by Stephen Budiansky.

I started the new Dexter Morgan-book, Double Dexter, and so far Lindsay has got the voice right. That whole series is unfortunately a bit hit-and-miss, so I'm keeping my fingers Xed for this installment.
26japaul22
I'm reading Detective Inspector Huss by Helene Tursten, another of the now popular Swedish mystery series. I'm liking it a lot so far except that I don't think the translation is very good. I looked and later books in her series have a different and hopefully better translator.
27DeltaQueen50
I'm reading Shanghai Girls by Lisa See, which has been sitting on my TBR shelf for far too long. I am also about to start The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern, of which I have heard a lot of good things.
28christina_reads
I'm going to start Time for God by Jacques Philippe.
29cbl_tn
I'm currently reading my ER copy of the latest Flavia de Luce mystery, I Am Half-Sick of Shadows and listening to The Terracotta Dog, the second book in the Inspector Montalbano series. In some ways, the books couldn't be more different, but they share a great sense of humor. I'm enjoying both.
30christina_reads
I'm reading A Conspiracy of Kings by Megan Whalen Turner. It's good, but I miss Eugenides!
31VictoriaPL
Currently enjoying Vermilion Drift by William Kent Krueger
32DeltaQueen50
I've been pulling mysteries down from my TBR shelves. I am reading The Merchant's House by Kate Ellis and The Delicate Storm by Giles Blunt right now.
33RidgewayGirl
I'm reading Tell Me Where It Hurts by Nick Trout.
34VictoriaPL
Just started The River King by Alice Hoffman
35cbl_tn
I'm reading Death at Wentwater Court in print, I'm working on The Sandburg Connection on my e-reader, and I'm listening to The Murder of the Century.
37christina_reads
I'm finally starting Patricia C. Wrede's Thirteenth Child, after ignoring it for at least two years...
38RidgewayGirl
At the end of November I'm reading A Place of Greater Safety by Hilary Mantel. She made me like Tudor politics, so I'm excited to see what she'll do with events I'm actually interested in. Also, can she make Robespierre sympathetic?
I'm also reading Waiter Rant by Steve Dublanica, because last night I was too tired for the French Revolution.

I am ending November - and will carry over into December - reading Seer of Egypt by Pauline Gedge.
40christina_reads
I'm reading A Broken Vessel by Kate Ross, which I might be able to finish today...
41-Eva-
I'm working on my current ER-book, Ashes to Dust, which is absolutely living up to my expectations - very happy about that!
42VictoriaPL
I'm reading The Toyminator, which is the sequel to The Hollow Chocolate Bunnies of the Apocalypse. Not sure if I'll finish it or not, I haven't given it 50 pages yet, so we'll see.
43lsh63
I'm just starting Death of an Expert Witness. P.D. James is great, but there is a very slow buildup in this one, and I am having trouble keeping track of all the potential suspects!

I'm currently reading an ARC of Tyndale: The Man Who Gave God an English Voice and I'm listening to The Murder of the Century. I won't finish either one this evening, so they'll be my first December books.
