Newcomers to LT see an image of a stack of books with legible spines. This year LT began localizing those images for the many different languages the website is available in. Members submitted pictures of book piles in Italian, Russian, Latin, etc.

Makes me wonder: Could we get together a pile of books in indigenous languages, with indigenous languages on the spines?

The only one in my library is a Creek language textbook, and the title is in both Creek and English. (I have ebooks in Creek, but obviously these can’t be photographed in a pile.)

Guessing that most books in indigenous languages are for language learning.

I should add: LT is actually looking for a book pile of titles in the Maori language. See this post from the “Non-English Bookpiles” talk thread.
