Here are a few possibilities:

Please post some links to pics you think might suit the group. (The group creator appears to be gone.)

Oh, I like those.

Have you seen this, lilithcat? http://www.librarything.com/topic/112837

I hadn't! I want one! My cat wants one!

Isn't it great? My fear would be that the top would end up with gacked-up 'presents' that I wouldn't find for months at a time.

How about - (group picture size)

I like #7 very much!

Mar 28, 2011, 1:49 am

It may be just me...but I like when used books show some character and I don't like used book stores to look to organized.

Having said that, I like the image in the #2 treehugger link and the #6 google link.

I like #7!

I'm voting for the treehugger shot from #2. Not only will it look good in here it will look great in miniature on the Groups page. #7 is nice, but when it's shrunk down to a thumbnail it won't be readable or even identifiable, I fear.

I just set the height and width parameters in #7 to match that of the Group Picture for the Green Dragon. It looks pretty clear to me. Regarless, I'm not going to lose any sleep if it isn't selected.

Oh, I have no doubt it will look great on the group page, but I worry about it being shrunk for this page: http://www.librarything.com/groups Sorry, I should have clarified. That's the size I meant by thumbnail.

I also have no problem with whatever people decide.

Editado: Mar 28, 2011, 1:20 pm

Just tried it in Thumbnail size. (40x40) It came out the same as #7 (250x198).

Ah well...

This is a preview only, and it will be skewed a bit because I'm pretty sure LT trims the ends.

Mar 28, 2011, 2:54 pm

And here is the treehugger one:

Mar 28, 2011, 3:36 pm

Definitely then - the treehugger one.

Too bad Tim hasn't got code in place to magnify a thumbnail when you hover over it.

Mar 29, 2011, 2:04 am

The treehugger one would be my second choice.

Abr 2, 2011, 9:15 pm

Oh dear. If we are looking at them reduced to that size, the treehugger one isn't very easy to "read" either (I couldn't tell what it was until I looked at the larger size). Maybe this picture from a used bookstore in Madison, Wisconsin would be suitable?

I can still see it at Flickr's 75 x 75 size, idk about the tiny tiny size.

I took the picture in 2009 - the bookstore looks pretty much as it did when I was a student at UW in the 1970s.

I don't know. Can you still tell what it is?

The Folio Devotees Group has one of the best pics on LT, for my money anyway:
