I'm currently looking to buy a few more Persian cookbooks. I already own quite a few, but maybe someone has a suggestion I don't know yet?
Thanks :)
Thanks :)

Well, I thought I might be able to help but you already have all the cookbooks I do. I love your collection!

Haha, yes, it's becoming a tad difficult! I am eyeing Roza Montazemi's Honar-e Ashpazi, THE Persian cooking bible. Alas, it's only available in Farsi, and my command of Farsi is, well, limited.

Greg and Lucy Malouf have just produced Saraban. This is a lavishly illustrated account of their travels in Iran, which is also an excellent cookbook.

"Next door" to Iran- Mama Nazima's Jewish- Iraqi Cuisine by Rivka Goldman. Sorry that I can't recommend an Iranian cookbook.

Oh, Just found a number of Persian recipes in the cookbook Feast from the Mideast: 250 Sun-Drenched Dishes from the Lands of the Bible by Faye Levy.

I picked this one up at a kitchen consignment shop. It is a very basic cookbook but it seems to be one you dont have.

I don't know whether you, or anyone, is still looking for cookbooks on Persian cooking, but I really enjoy Neda Afrashi's The Persian Kitchen. It is slightly traditional, but the recipes are serious and work. The various rice and stew dishes are comforting and full of flavour.

Not quite Iran, but inspires some of the roots of Iranian cuisine. One of my favourite coobkooks is "The Oldest Cuisine in the World: Cooking in Mesopotamia" by Jean Bottéro.

I flipped through the book "Taste of Persia" in Chapters. It looked very good. I do own Naomi Duguid's cookbook on Burma and it is excellent.

I know I'm late to the party (very late...), but would you consider the Persian chapter in the British Museum Cookbook as coming anywhere near meeting your requirements?
