SantaThingSantaThing Entry #330

Book tastes

Prefer paperbacks. All things Horror. The scarier, the better. Science Fiction, Space Opera. Zombies, blood & guts. Clarification: All books need not be horror. I do enjoy Science Fiction or Space Operas, that are not horror.

Don't get this!

LGBT+, nonfiction, western, sports, politics, occult, short story collections. Cruelty to children or animals. King or Koontz or Lovecraft.

Other notes

Don't use my ARCs (advanced reader copies) for the basis of what I like, that's just the best that I've found to review at that time.
My wishlist is accurate.

Secret Santa

katemcangus: I considered The Only Good Indians by Stephen Graham Jones as all of my horror-loving friends raved about it, but I believe it involves deer hunting, which may be considered animal cruelty. If you don't think so, you might want to check it out. (Dez 4, 2023, 9:59pm)
HuberK: Light - S.F. MASTERWORKS by M. John Harrison 9781473227675 $11.02 (Blackwells) space opera

(Dez 4, 2023, 9:46pm)
saroz: Jeff Vandermeer's "Annihilation" is a terrifying slow burn that also happens to be amazing SF. It is the first in the "Southern Reach" trilogy - all very good, but the first one is best. (Dez 4, 2023, 9:28pm)
LynnEnz: Red Rising series (Dez 4, 2023, 4:01pm)
HuberK: Garon Whited any books would fit. (Dez 4, 2023, 2:43pm)
MDGentleReader: Don't Tell a Soul and The Sun Down Motel are highly rated horror books. (Dez 2, 2023, 12:15am)
