Sobre Minha Biblioteca
I have a lot of history, and some other odds and ends. It reflects my interests in the South, in politics, in local history, in the presidency, and in other stuff.
About Me
I'm a college archivist in South Carolina, and I have a PhD in American history. I grew up in South Carolina, graduated from Wofford College with majors in history and government, and was the student newspaper editor. I went to graduate school at the University of Georgia, earning my MA in 1996 and writing about politics in Spartanburg. I then went to the University of South Carolina, where I studied all eras of American history. I wrote my dissertation on the politics of economic development in South Carolina in the years 1938-1962. I am trying to get it turned into a book. In 1999, I returned to my alma mater to serve as college and Methodist archivist. In 2008, I offered a course in southern politics, and I've taught that two more times. I've also co-taught South Carolina history.
