About Me: I'm an award-winning journalist and author of six nonfiction books, specializing in women and social history. I'm also director of the Cape Cod Writers Center Conference.

Beacon Press also published "THE MUSE OF THE REVOLUTION: The Secret Pen of Mercy Otis Warren in hardcover in 2008 and in paperback in 2009. The book received the Historic 1699 Winslow House Award in 2009.

In 2008-2009 C-Span's Book TV aired my talk at Brown University on MUSE OF THE REVOLUTION. I'm currently under contract for a new book due out in 2013.
