About Me
I love animals. Most of my life consists of dogs, dog training, showing dogs. I currently am showing my dog Quincy in dock diving, flyball, and agility. He is also a certified therapy dog, along with family dog Riley. I also pet sit and babysit professionally and am attending Oakland Community College for nursing. I love giving back in whatever way I can, and truly believe that when it comes to volunteering, you truly get back much more than what you gave. I volunteer with Teacher's Pet, an organization that places shelter dogs with at-risk youth and those in juvenile centers to make the dogs more adoptable and to maybe change the kids life, too. I also volunteer with the Michigan Humane Society, doing in-shelter training and taking questions for their behavior helpline from time to time. In May of '07, I was diagnosed with an incurable, but treatable, rare cancer called adenoid cystic carcinoma. Cancer definitely turned my world upside down, but while life may be tough, I'm tougher. I love reading and photography. I have a Nikon D40 with which I take zillions of pictures. Life is good.
