Sobre Minha Biblioteca
My reading interests are rather broad. I don't read a lot of fiction, however, and I'm very picky about what kind of fiction I read. I do see a strong value in it, though; I just get pretty bored if it doesn't excite me at least thirty pages into it.
About Me
I'm Jeremy. 21, a Religious Studies major/Ethics minor at Georgia State University in Atlanta. Good books make me have metaphysical orgasms. I love people, ideas, and idealism. I like sharing thoughts over fair-trade coffee from in an independent coffee shop. I have an insatiable passion to learn new things--abstract and not so abstract ones.

I'm dis(abled). I was born with Cerebral Palsy, and I've recently become very passionate about disability identity/theory/rights. Sometimes I think I'm bell hooks with crutches, fighting the able-bodied man. I don't like social oppression, war, poverty, all the "isms" upon which this culture constantly feeds, and apathy.

After a tremendous amount of soul-searching, I've decided to be a professor of theology with a specialization in social theory/cultural criticism. I also have keen interests in Systematic, Process, Liberation, and Construction Theologies. Union Theological Seminary--check it out.

The slaughter of innocent lives saddens me--this is the face of war.

The fact that over one billion people in the world live on less than a dollar a day breaks my heart--this is the face of economic injustice.

Knowing that the environment's still being destroyed, increasing the dangers of global warming, scares me---this will be our destruction.

The fact that people are volunteering in things like the Peace Corps makes me happy---this is the essence of love.

Seeing people stand up against this and all wars gives me great joy---this is the creation of peace.

Knowing that people are beginning to see their impacts and changing their lives brings me relief---this is the realization of hope.

Live and let live.

INFPs are quiet, creative , sensitive and perceptive souls who often strike others as shy, reserved and cool. These folks have a rare capacity for deep caring and commitment--both to the people and causes they idealise. INFPs guide their behavior by a strong inner sense of values, rather than by convential logic and reason. Forced to cope with this facts-and-figures 'real' world we inhabit, INFPs may appear to have been imported from another galaxy! They gravitate toward creative or human service careers which allow them to use their instinctive sense of empathy and remarkable communication skills. Strongly religious, spiritual or philosophical people, INFPs may see the purpose of their lives as an inner journey, quest or personal unfolding. More practical or rational types may tend to discredit the INFP's sources or understanding as mystical. The search for a soulmate is a preoccupation for many INFPs , who must balance their need for privacy and peace with their yearning for human connection. If there seems to be an air of sadness INFP's spirit, blame it on this type's longing for the perfect in all things.
