Sobre mimI've been on LibraryThing for 15 years!! FIFTEEN as of Jan 2021. I still like it better than GR, just saying.
If I won a billion dollars, I'd be a philanthropist, own a house out in the boonies, and read a lot of books. Doesn't that sound fantastic? Sadly, I am not. A few years ago, I quit my Medical Admin Job (best decision ever) and now I am an antiques and vintage business owner to keep my college kids from eating their daily weight in top ramen.
I will also say I like hiking, which I really do, but everyone says this. Do you ever notice? And realistically, not everyone can love hiking. People say they love hiking in bios and dating apps, but how many do you know say, "Hey, lets go hiking, because I LOVE hiking? YAY!" I don't think so. Those trails would be much busier. I would know because I actually hike. I really do like hiking. I have lovely hiking adventures with my hubs or adult children. Sometimes I put them on my Instagram (thinkibee) because the world needs to see what I do, eat, look at, and read every single day. I also like reading as much as I like hiking.
I write my own reviews if I have something to say. I still write my own reviews if I have nothing new to say.
I read an article about 10-something years ago describing and anon author of the three rules for reviews. I really like this template to review by:
1) The review must tell what the book is about.
2) The review must tell what the book's author says about that thing the book is about.
3) The review must tell what the reviewer thinks about what the book's author says about that thing the book is about.
Its a good writing stretch to hit all three.
I've had a pen name forever and now I'm just JB. People ask me if my red hair is mine. Yes, absolutely. It came with my head.
Sobre a minha bibliotecaEclectic. I read mostly historical fiction, fantasy, romance, scifi, paranormal, and also cookbooks. Better yet, look around my book list.
