I grew up reading the Sweet Valley series. I suppose if I scoured the local bookstores hard enough, I would have been able to collect the whole series. But even if I could locate all the books in the series, I wouldn't have been able to buy them anyway. One of the biggest frustrations of my childhood is that I never had enough money to buy all the books I want, let alone the whole Sweet Valley series.

Fast forward to many, many years later, and I discovered that I can now afford to buy things that I couldn't afford when I was younger. And now there's the wonderful World Wide Web, which made shopping so much easier. So the first thing I did was work on getting a complete Sweet Valley collection. It kind of went downhill from there. I remembered that I also enjoyed Sweet Dreams, Nancy Drew, Xanth, and Christopher Pike. And once I finished collecting those, I remembered that I also liked to read Fear Street and Enid Blyton anthologies. And I haven't even finished collecting those when I remembered that as a kid I also read Crosswinds Keepsake, Wildfire, and Love Stories.

I'm running out of bookshelves.

I have CDO. It's like OCD, but it's alphabetized as it should be.
