Sobre Minha Biblioteca
My library is mainly history (military /strategic but a little politics and economics as well). My collection began whilst living in New Zealand with an emphasis on European history and Classics. I spent a deal of time on European naval history and then the 20th century World wars. I have moved away from battlefield studies to strategic studies and the ‘new’ military history. I don’t have any particular interest in war gaming or militaria.
My view of the world expanded over the years - following European trade and colonial routes to include colonial history (including into the US). Starting in 1993 I began to travel in Southeast Asia starting in Vietnam and began to study East Asian History in depth - both military and general. So now I keep up on the historiography of a number of areas but focus intently on South East and East Asia. I am slowly cataloguing (currently 200+) One day to move up to the whole library (about 2,000). Having said that I gave away 15 – 16 boxes recently!
