Thailand Joy de David Young
The life of a poor Isaan (Northern Thailand) girl who ultimately ends in a life as a prostitute in Pattaya, Thailand. Written in the early 2000s, it is still very much relevant today. [I can speak with authority as I am an ex-pat residing in Pattaya since 2002.]

Interesting, accurate and thought provoking.

I would have rated this even higher but for the abrupt and unrealistic ending. Still, a worthwhile and highly entertaining read.
