This was an interesting book, I have just recently started reading more about the First World War aka the Great War and was thrilled to be given a chance to review this book. The Die-Hards mentioned are the Middlesex Regiment, twenty-four which are discussed in the book. My only issue with it was that it was the second volume of the work, and even though I know about this era and the war, there were some things that were a bit confusing when it came to what happened to the regiment. Not reading the first volume made a few things that happened difficult to figure out. However, I feel if you have a chance to read both volumes, which I believe are being put together, it will make it easier to keep track of what happened to each regiment during the Great War.… (mais)
