WTF is Tarot?: ...& How Do I Do It? de Bakara Wintner
The vibe of the book wasn’t for me but I can see how it would appeal to others. I would recommend this book to folks looking for a more relaxed, informal voice. Beautiful yet minimal illustrations and there is some useful information when beginning tarot. Ultimately, there a lot of personal anecdotes that may be relatable or intriguing to some, but not a great fit for me.
Hands down mt fave tarot book so far
She had me at (typical Millenial child who tried to move shit with her mind after watching Matilda).
I loved her voice and her take on the cards and their meanings.
Was enoyable to read and get a more nuanced and lively point of view on the tarot.

This is a great book for any layman to pick up and read about the wonderful art of reading tarot.
The author writes the book as one big story. You start with the zero card, The Fool and as you go through the journey through the major arcana cards you find yourself faced with many different challenges both good and bad until finally reaching The World card and your rebirth.
The minor arcana cards are put together by suits and the way that the author describes each minor arcana card makes it extremely easy for pretty much anyone to relate to what the author is saying about each individual card.
This book goes through each of the individual cards of a 78 card tarot deck as well as spreads and a brief history on the cards. Very well done!… (mais)

Overall, the book is a mixed bag. When it is good, it is good. When it is not, it brings the text down. Not recommended for absolute beginners, especially if they are learners who need a lot of structure. I am glad to have read it so I can add it to my learning but not one I recommend. To be honest, I am not sure I see the hype in it.
