About the Author
John Willison (1680-1750) was born near Stirling in Scotland. Converted at an early age, he followed a regular course of academic education, pursuing the study of theology with great success. In 1703, he received a unanimous call to pastor the parish church at Brechin, north of Dundee. After 15 mostrar mais years of ministry there, he was called to fill the vacancy at South Church Dundee, where he labored faithfully for the rest of his life. He was distinguished for his diligence in pastoral duties and zeal for the glory of God. After 47 years of serving Christ and His Church, John Willison died on May 3, 1750. mostrar menos
