About the Author
Frans Wiering received his Ph.D. in musicology from the University of Amsterdam (Netherlands) in 1995. He is a member of the Institute of Information and Computing Sciences (Utrecht University). He has published a number of articles on computer applications in musicology and on polyphonic modality, mostrar mais and is project manager of the Thesaurus musicarum italicarum.
