John Weiss (4) (1818–1879)

Theodore Parker was born in 1810 and died in 1860. He was an American Transcendentalist and a reforming minister of the Unitarian church. Since he was an abolitionist, many of his letters back and forth to powerful people and/or people who would become famous center around that subject. It's fascinating to read correspondence of more than a hundred and fifty years ago. While some of it seems stilted by today's standards, some passages seem as if they could have been written yesterday.
