This was a fascinating work of science fiction. Teddy is sort of thrown into a world he knows nothing about when he is invited to attend the prestigious university his father once taught at. Teddy's father has seemingly lost his mind and Teddy is desperate for a way to bring him back to sanity. Enter a world where your mind can leave your body behind and explore a parallel universe. Teddy and his new friends embark on a journey that will change everything they think they know about the world.

The Reintegrators

by Will Weisser

This book was a great read for me and reminded me of the books I used to read in my younger years before I got into Stephen King and the like. The reintegrators kept my attention through the whole book, unlike some sci fi novels that lose me when the wording gets too scientific. I liked the characters and really was pulled into the story. Even tho some of the plot had the potential of being confusing since there are parallel universes(I think that's what they were) I was able to follow along with no trouble. Very well written and I will definitely be recommending it to some of my friends who I know like stuff like this. My husband is not really a reader of books but he is an avid watcher of movies and this is one book he would love as a movie!… (mais)

Refreshing take on a popular theme with well thought out and layered characters. The book as a whole wasn't too far off the beaten track to be dry and forgettable, but it wasn't the greatest thing out there by far. The writing was clear while not overly simplistic. I did find a few minor mistakes but certainly nothing stopping me from wanting to turn the next page. The plot seemed to flow at a rather slow rate with more than enough information being provided, a few rather predictable situation and outcomes, and a few difficult to accept without doubt parts.

I'm torn between three and four stars. I liked it, but it wasn't quite the quality I would grant with the extra star. At the same time, I'm hopeful the author continues his writing and learns from this book, and that it shows in the next. I'm going to be generous in the hopes this one improves, and because there are so many terrible attempts at novels already available through various online eBook stores.

Thank you to the author for providing a free ebook in exchange for an honest review.
