Although there were some good tidbits in the book, overall it was not laid out in a particularly readable manner, and the excerpted examples were often too long. By the time you reached the end of the excerpt, you would forget what the example was supposed to be showing. In addition, there really is only about a thimblefull of useful information; this could be enough for someone who already knows how to write good dialogue, but then, why would they need this book? I decided not to use it for the course I will be teaching. The exercises were not well developed, and would not work for any sort of course at an introductory level, but the book was written in the language of an introductory level.… (mais)
