A good look into the world of a family-owned Antique business in England. Having lived in Cheltenham and the surrounding countryside that the author writes about makes this book all the more endearing to me.

Affectionate reminiscences of the life of a high end Bristol antique dealer in the first half of the twentieth century. Dictated by the author after going blind near the end of his life, the style has a lightness that makes it seem ahead of its time. The story is the affirming memoirs of a man happy with a good life.
