Mack Walker

This book explains everything, and I mean everything, about the development of German towns. Despite the level of detail, the book remains interesting throughout. The explanations provided help readers to understand a lot about why Germany is the way it is today. In particular, the book provides a good discussion of how guilds evolved over the years.

The reasons I have not given the book five stars is that the subject itself is intrinsically boring. The book also requires a good knowledge of German geography and I found it necessary to consult external maps to be able to follow some parts of the book.… (mais)
