About the Author
Gene Waddell is an architectural historian, archivist, and museum administrator. He is the author of more than 30 articles and monographs, including Indians of the South Carolina Lowcountry, Charleston in 1883, and Collecting, Preserving, Exhibiting. He served as the director of the South Carolina mostrar mais Historical Society, in archival and curatorial positions for the Getty Center for the History of Art and Humanities, and joined the staff of the Canadian Centre for Architecture to serve as the director of library collections.
