Ron Vernon

Ron Vernon was born in Sydney, Australia, and has lectured at various universities around the world for the past thirty-nine years. He is now Emeritus Professor of Geology at Macquarie University and Conjoint Professor of Geology at the University of Newcastle. He has worked on rocks in Australia, mostrar mais the United States, Scotland, Ireland, and Mexico, and is still active in research, especially on metamorphic rocks and granites. He is particularly interested in the structures of rocks, as seen in the microscope. He is the author of Metamorphic Processes (Murby, 1976), is an editor of the Journal of Metamorphic Geology, and has been editor of the Journal of the Geological Society of Australia.
