This series of cookbooks encourages kids to use their creativity in the kitchen to prepare foods that are as much fun to look at as they are to eat. Each book covers the basics (getting permission, being safe, etc), a list of kitchen items needed, and techniques for achieving some of the looks. Plentiful pictures and clear instructions allow easy assembly for kids who already have a basic background in kitchen savvy. Cool Creepy Food Art was also reviewed, and the recipes shown there have plenty of kid appeal. A fun way to get kids thinking about ways to get creative with healthy foods.

This book was fun to read, the terms are simple for children to follow if they had to cook and make a meal.
Extension
1. Have the children bring in their favorite recipes.
2. Construct a recipe book from the children's recipes to share with classmates.
3. Have a day using the items named in the book and make some of the recipes.
