This is a collection of the very short versions of fairy tales. I loved it! Great re-tellings of old favourites and all of them instalove. I hope Sleeping Beauty is the next one on the list!

This is a great book to read in front of a cosy fire or by the pool while on holiday. It will make you smile and feel warm and fuzzy. It's the first book that I've read by this author and I would be reading more. Hopefully the next ones will be a bit longer?

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.… (mais)

I received my copy of this eBook in exchange for a fair and honest review.

Ok, this wasn't a character driven plot, it wasn't a clean romance (but it didn't qualify for my hotttttt pile) and it wasn't really trying to be like [a:Audrey Carlan|7831156|Audrey Carlan|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1470765480p2/7831156.jpg]'s Calendar Girl series, but it was fun in its own way.

Isabella and Reef were probably the most complex characters of the book and even they were a little flat. Reef seems to have it, but he lacks love, respect and partnership that comes from your true love. Isabella is making things work by moonlighting as Madame X's 'Ice Queen' in an escort service. When he hires her for a weekend, they make a connection that neither one of them can deny and suddenly all thoughts are about the dream - the white picket fence, the children, dogs, etc.. You know, that dream that everyone seems to have, except Isabella's is filled with more than the stereotypical one girl and one boy.

I liked their relationship - I liked the evolution! It was a simple, fun read that made you care about the characters and the outcome even without being too complicated.

There were some great gems throughout the book, but I loved this one the most:

"Look, I just wanted to take you somewhere familiar so I could be comfortable. I swear I have no other intentions. It's just I'm a nervous damn wreck around you, and - "

"You don't seem nervous," she interrupts.

"Trust me this is an act I use on all my customers. I just wanted us to be somewhere familiar today and see where things could go."

"I'm a customer? Is that how you see it?" She bites at her bottom lip as though I've struck a nerve. "Because you're sort of confusing me."

"No, I don't see you like that. Damn. This is hard. I'm confusing the hell out of myself."

I loved that [a:Jamie Brook Thompson|5290568|Jamie Brook Thompson|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1442608603p2/5290568.jpg] allowed her hero to be vulnerable and awkward. This is something that many romance authors don't take the chance with their Alpha male. They can still be an Alpha with an awkward, vulnerable moment. Thank you for giving this nervous candour in Reef!

I really enjoyed this - It would have had five stars if I'd felt more depth to the characters. Four stars and two thumbs up!

I enjoyed these books and especially liked their fairy tale settings.

The stories take place in the small country town of Silver Creek where Marge and her posse tell everyone what they can and can't do. Cinderella was a sweet romance with a unique twist in the couple having reversed roles. Such as Cindee being a terrific mechanic and Henry being an incredible baker. Beauty and Beast is more of a romantic suspense with Belle, who is a good hairstylist, but can't seem to do the one hairstyle EVERYBODY in town wants, except the older ladies who use so much hairspray, Belle thinks of them as helmet heads. When she notices Adam, she's warned that he is a beast so she should stay clear of him. Things get a bit tense for Belle when the loan shark her father owes money to gives her a hard time. The Frogg Princess is about Taya. She came to work for Cindee and Henry and found love in a most unexpected man.

Each of these well-written stories have wonderful characters that you can't help but like. I received a copy of this boxed set in exchange for an honest review. I liked these romances with fairy tale themes and recommend A REAL Life Fairy Tale series.

Taya's life turned from a nightmare to a fairytale when she moved to Silver Creek. She wanted a new life after divorcing a man who didn't work and was addicted to video games. So she got a job at Cindee's Sweet Shoppe and left town with almost no money and a car she had paid for but was in her ex's name. She couldn't believe how accepting and giving everyone was in this place. And especially didn't believe a cop would drive her around just because he was a friend of her new boss. Life was very different in this small country town and it would take some getting used to. She couldn't believe it when her new friends told her the cop, Felix, was interested in her. When he treated her with respect, she couldn't help compare him to her ex who didn't show that he respected her at all.

This is a sweet romance with great characters. If you are looking for a quick romance, you should read this book in A REAL Life Fairy Tale series.
